It has been a while since the last event we hosted but I realised that I needed to post a bit of a story about it. So here it is.
On a cool Cairns evening around 35 people got together in a friend’s cafe. We ate beautiful food, talked, and listened and learned from each other. We heard a story from a brave woman who fought many years of addiction, to be free and listened to two other women’s similar stories, all the way from Nepal. We celebrated freedom and what love could do. We rejoiced that we could play a part of more stories like those ones. We determined to partner with woman in Nepal again and committed to love and support them, even if we never met them. And we will extend our hearts and hands as we can. This is our honour, and what a noble thing it is.
