Last night we launched WISE WOMAN PROJECT at The Flying Monkey Cafe. Enjoyed by 60 women, we not only connected, ate, and shared stories of other wise women we knew…. but managed to raise funds for a women’s working network in Kathmandu Nepal. The monies came through the sale of Nepali products and a live painting by Celina Inspired Art.
We would like to thank all those who were able to attend and also to those who have financially supported the project. So far the project has raised $3270 towards employment of women which enables them to keep their children in school ensuring their education is complete. These mothers can demonstrate to their children that women have an important role to play in their society.
